Lighthouses of England

English lighthouses were amongst the first to be built in the modern era of world history. The management authority of these fabulous structures is the Corporation of Trinity House of Deptford Strond, otherwise known simply as Trinity House, who also have the lighthouses of Wales, the Channel Islands and Gibraltar under their jurisdiction. Channel Islands lighthouses are included under this heading, as is the single lighthouse in Gibraltar. However, a separate site has been created for the Lighthouses of Wales.
